Title: The New Age of Change Management is Change Enablement

Presenter: Krista Schaber-Chan

Skill Level: Intermediate (3-5 Years of  Change Management Experience)

Track: Change Leadership & Critical Change Competencies

Description:

What is change enablement and how can it be used to transform businesses today? How does the changing workforce and pace of change impact leaders and what do they need to do to lead their people through a transformation? In this webinar we will explore the role of a leader in today’s business transformations, specifically in how to engage the changing workforce, identify informal change leaders, and conquer failures. Real life lessons learned will be shared and we will also look at new ways of thinking about change management.

Bio:

Krista possesses more than 20 years of OCM and training experience, having worked at two of the top consulting firms, Price Waterhouse Coopers and IBM, with an enhanced focus on IT projects and people management. During this time, she spent many years working in various cities around the world such as Singapore; Apeldoorn; Stuttgart; Baltimore, MD; Princeton, NJ; Trenton, NJ; San Francisco, CA; Durham, NC; Vancouver; and Calgary. After spending more than a decade as an independent consultant, she made the strategic decision to create her own consulting firm, Harbinger SCR Inc., in 2015 with a fellow change management and training expert, Gregory Roth, and hasn’t looked back since. With just over four years under their belts, they have collectively grown Harbinger into one of the leading Canadian-owned change management and learning firms that has had the pleasure of working with some of North America’s top corporations including Direct Energy and RSA.

    Learning Objectives:

    • Leadership change enablement tips: How to identify informal change leaders, the art of letting go, active listening and observation, letting go of fear, and conquering failures.
    • The evolution of change management to change enablement.
    • Understanding the intricacies of the today’s workforce demographics including the emergence of Gen Z’s, increase of Millennials, and how to lead them through change.
